This position is part of the MaRDI project on research data infrastructures for mathematics. MaRDI is part of the German Research Data Infrastructure initiative (NFDI programme). Particular tasks within the project will be the implementation based on a customized version of the Wikimedia technology stack, integrating the classical MediaWiki frontend and content management system and the Wikibase knowledge graph as data backend, including, e.g.,

    Implementation of persistent identifiers (PIDs)
    Authorization and authentication (OAuth2, shibboleth)
    Implementation of the mathematical knowledge graph and multiple math-specific extensions

Qualifications and Skills:

    B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent qualification
    Contributions to Open Source Software
    Experience with PHP
    Experience with Media Wiki framework
    Experience with Linked Open Data, i.e., SPARQL, graph databases (optional)

Software Developer (f/m/x) for Mathematical Research Data Infrastructure

The Johann Radon Institute for Computational and Applied Mathematics (RICAM) of the Austrian Academy of Sciences (OeAW), is offering a PHD STUDENT POSITION (F*M)
in the Mathematical Methods in Medicine and Life Sciences Group (part-time, 30hrs per week) for a duration of 3 years, starting as soon as possible.

The position is funded by the BMBWF and FWF initiative "Alternative Methods to Animal Experimentation", as part of the project “Digital twin for presurgical assessment of cardiac ablation” led by Dr. Argyrios Petras.

The PhD student will become a part of the Mathematical Methods in Medicine and Life Sciences Group at RICAM, located in Linz/Austria, will collaborate with medical doctors and integrate finite elements simulations with medical imaging data for patient-specific modelling of radiofrequency catheter ablation procedure.

Your profile:
● Completed Master study in  Applied Mathematics, Engineering, Physics or similar field.
● Strong background in Finite Element Method.
● Familiarity or experience with Python and/or C++ programming languages.

PhD Student Position

The Mathematical Institute, University of Oxford, is seeking to appoint to a newly-created, permanent, full-time Departmental Lecturer position in Mathematical and Computational Finance from 1st September 2022 or as soon as possible thereafter. As Departmental Lecturer, you will make an important contribution to the teaching, research and administration of the Mathematical and Computational Finance Group and wider department. Candidates are required to have completed a degree  in Mathematics, or in a related field, of one of the following types: 
• a Master degree (second cycle of higher studies in the European Union Bologna system);
• a Bachelor degree (undergraduate degree of 4 or more years in the pre Bologna system); 
• any degree legally considered equivalent to one of the above.

Applications from candidates that expect to satisfy the previous requirement before the fixed starting date of their doctoral studies within the program are welcome. If accepted, the admission will be conditioned to the completion of one of the required degrees. If the academic degree has been awarded by a foreign institution, its recognition/equivalence to a Portuguese degree might be necessary. • Research in the field of applied mathematics with emphasis on the analysis and the numerics of problems in mathematical image processing, inverse problems and data sciences

Your Profile
•	Doctoral degree in a mathematical branch of study

Postdoc

NYU Shanghai is currently inviting applications for several Visiting and Non-Tenure Track professor positions in Mathematics. Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Mathematics, or a related field (or expect it by the start date). 

Qualifications
The search is not restricted to any rank, all levels of seniority will be considered, although in general applicants are expected to have at least three years of experience after their Ph.D. All domains of mathematics will be considered, as well. The Mathematics group at NYU Shanghai is built with the collaboration and help of the Courant Institute and interacts with East China Normal University. The teaching commitments include teaching up to four courses per year. The positions are generally for one or two semesters, but longer terms can be discussed.
