Description: The Department of Mathematical Sciences at Carnegie Mellon University invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of assistant or associate professor to begin September 1, 2023. The search is focused on candidates with expertise in computational mathematics, numerical analysis, optimization, and related areas. Addressing applied problems and participation in interdisciplinary efforts is also valued. Qualifications: Preference will be given to candidates who have demonstrated excellence in research and have a vigorous research program. We seek candidates who, through their research, teaching, and/or service will contribute to the diversity and excellence of our academic community.
