The European Solidarity Committee has opened the second round of its call for Financial Support for Europe, including individual travel grants and event funding grants, aimed at supporting mathematicians and institutions with limited resources across Europe. The call will close on January 31, 2025 and results will be communicated in March.

This initiative reflects our commitment to reducing inequalities in access to research and higher education within the European mathematical community.

Individual travel grants of up to €900 for travel outside Europe and €500 within Europe are available to qualified mathematicians, particularly early career researchers (within 10 years of PhD), affiliated with European institutions. Applicants must actively participate in their proposed activity, such as presenting at a conference or conducting a research stay.

Additionally, EMS offers event funding grants up to €3000 to support training events and conferences organized by European institutions. These grants specifically target activities in European regions with limited funding resources or aim to support the participation of qualified mathematicians facing financial constraints.

Interested applicants can apply through the Good Grants platform. For more information, visit the European Solidarity Committee webpage.
