Registration open for EMYA Workshop in Będlewo

Registration is now open for the EMYA Workshop, which will take place in Będlewo, Poland, from 24 to 28 August 2026. The workshop will bring together young mathematicians from across Europe for several days of mathematics, discussion, networking, and community building.

The programme will combine broad mathematical talks, lightning sessions, and poster presentations with panel discussions and interactive activities focused on the opportunities and challenges facing early-career researchers. The workshop is designed to support participants in building academic networks, sharing their research, and contributing to future initiatives within the mathematical community.

Róisín Neururer, Chair of the EMYA Committee, says: “We are very excited about the upcoming EMYA Workshop in Bedlewo and we hope to see many young mathematicians there. It will be a great opportunity to connect with fellow early-career researchers in mathematics from across Europe and we hope it will prove the starting point for many future initiatives and collaborations. Following on from the lightning talk sessions we ran at ECM in Seville, there will be opportunities for participants to present their research to each other. For EMYA members we will hold our first in-person meeting since EMYA was established, which I am especially excited for after years of Zoom meetings! There are a range of challenges facing young mathematicians at various stages in their careers and I am really looking forward to having productive discussions on how we can address some of these challenges.”

Confirmed invited speakers include Giorgio Cipolloni, Cristiana De Filippis, Jacek Jendrej, Relinde Jurrius, and Carla Rizzo.
