The Alfred Rényi Institute of Mathematics welcomes applications for visiting professors in the fields of singularity theory or low dimensional topology. The positions are within the special semester program Singularities and low dimensional topology of the new Erdõs Center. The visiting professors are expected to participate actively in the research semester. All positions come with no teaching duties. Candidates are not required to speak Hungarian. The gross salary will be 1,200,000 Ft per month. Deadline for application: 28 February 2022. Applications must be sent by email to erdos.sldt.positions@renyi.hu, with subject “Visiting professor”, and the expected period of stay should be specified in the subject or body of the email. Preference will be given to applications for longer periods. The application should include: • a CV; • a list of publications; • a paragraph explaining the relevance of the semester to the candidate’s research.
