The Institute of Mathematics and Scientific Computing is looking for a University assistant without doctorate (m/f/d) 20 hours a week fixed-term employment for 4 years* position to be filled as of now We are looking for a committed individual who will enrich our growing working group and add depth and breadth to the existing areas of interest. These focus areas include, among other things, issues of inclusion and diversity in mathematics teaching and learning, research on processes of mathematical thinking and learning, and the development and research of learning opportunities. In this, we collaborate with colleagues from German-speaking and international countries. Your duties Participate in projects conducted by the research group on Centre for didactics of mathematics and geometry Participate in national and international research projects, e.g., related to language and multimodal aspects of mathematics teaching and learning, embodiment in mathematics and inclusive mathematics education Participate in research projects of the Centre of Science and Mathematics Education Participate in the supervision of bachelor theses Teach courses and conduct examinations in the field of mathematics education and mathematics for future teachers (1 hours/week) Student support and supervision Cooperation on organisational and administrative tasks as well as evaluation measures Your Profile Completed diploma or master’s degree in the field of mathematics education or mathematics Interest in questions in the field of mathematics education Optional: Click or type here to enter text. Curiosity, especially in questions of inclusion and diversity in mathematics thinking and learning, language, and processes of mathematical thinking and learning Enjoys scientific work and dealing with students Excellent knowledge of spoken and written German and English Very good MS Office skills Creativity Sense of personal responsibility and ability to work with others Excellent team skills and organisational capabilities Our Offer Classification Salary scheme of the Universitäten-KV (University Collective Agreement): B1 Minimum Salary The minimum salary as stated in the collective agreement and according to the classification scheme is EUR 45.882,20 gross/year (for full-time employment).
