Two 2-years post-doc positions in Rennes and Toulouse (France) on the analysis of partial differential equations and their numerical schemes
Univ Rennes and University Toulouse III | Rennes and Toulouse (France)
Classification: Analysis and its Applications
The ANR project Hyperbolic Equations, Approximations & Dynamics (2024-2029), is offering two 2-years post-doc positions in France, one in Rennes, one in Toulouse. The project is focused on the analysis of the long-time dynamics of hyperbolic systems of partial differential equations and their approximations by numerical schemes, vanishing viscosity or in the dispersionless limit. Candidates must hold a PhD thesis at the starting date of the contract, with a strong background in at least one of the following fields : the nonlinear analysis of partial differential equations, the study of infinite dimensional dynamical systems and their coherent structures, the mathematical analysis of numerical schemes for partial differential equations. The positions are free of teaching duties. The research tasks of the hired candidates should contribute to at least one axis (hyperbolic, numerical, viscous, dispersive) of the project but could be adapted to fit their scientific backgrounds and facilitate interactions with local members of the project ( Boutin, Duchêne, Gassot, Rodrigues in Rennes ; Coulombel, Crin-Barat, Faye, Noble in Toulouse ).
