Three-year postdoc position in algebraic geometry at the University of Antwerp. The position is part of an FWO-founded project entitled “New birational invariants and the geometry of moduli spaces”. We are looking for a young researcher in algebraic geometry (or a closely related field) with broad interests in aspects of the geometry of moduli spaces. The candidate must hold a Ph.D. by the start of the appointment. There are no teaching obligations with the position, yet the expectation is that you volunteer to help as a TA or instructor with one course per year (=2 hours/week only one semester per year). The position comes with funds for travel and research guests. Proficiency in Dutch is not required. The starting date is flexible between November 1st, 2024, and the summer of 2025. The deadline to apply is August 13th (by midnight Brussels time). The salary is competitive, and it is calculated according to the “postdoctoral scholarship” pay scale that takes into account seniority and number of dependents.
