Tenure Track (Open Rank) Faculty Position in Actuarial Science

Department of Mathematics College of Liberal Arts and Sciences University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Applications are invited for one full-time tenured/tenure-track faculty position (Assistant, Associate or Full Professor) in Actuarial Science. All research areas pertaining to Actuarial Science are welcome. Successful candidates are expected to maintain an active and independent research program, provide service to the department, the university, and the profession, and teach effectively at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Applicants are required to have (or expected to receive) a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Actuarial Science or Mathematics or Statistics or a related field. Target start date is August 16, 2023. Salary and teaching load are competitive. Candidates with a documented commitment to working with students or faculty from groups historically marginalized or underrepresented in the field through teaching, mentoring, or administration are especially encouraged to apply. The Actuarial Science Program at the University of Illinois is recognized by the Society of Actuaries as a Center of Actuarial Excellence.
