Research fellowship in disease modelling

A postdoctoral research fellowship is available in the field of in-host modelling of viral dynamics, co-supervised by Stanca Ciupe (Director of Center for Mathematics of Biosystems at Virginia Tech, US) and Gergely Röst (Chair of Applied and Numerical Mathematics, University of Szeged, Hungary). The primary location of the work is in Szeged, Hungary, with some on-site visits to Virginia Tech. Applications are welcome from recent PhD graduates, with experience in infectious disease modelling. The applicant must have legal status to start the work in the EU. The starting date is flexible, but the Hungarian part of the fellowship will be concluded by 28 February, 2026. If additional funding is opening up, the work can be continued at Virginia Tech afterwards.
