We are looking for an established mathematician whose research is in a current area of applied mathematics, especially analysis and modern theory of partial differential equations. An interest relating to modelling questions is appreciated. The future holder of the position is expected to cooperate with colleagues at the Mathematical Institute and to work closely with scientists at the research profile area "Mathematical and Computational Sciences" of the University of Leipzig and the Max Planck Institute for Mathematics in the Sciences located in Leipzig. The job holder’s rights and obligations are regulated by the Saxon Higher Education Act (SächsHSG) and the Saxon Service Regulations for Higher Education Institutions (DAVOHS). Applicants must meet the requirements of § 59 SächsHSG. Leipzig University is committed to gender equality.
