Postdoc position in set theory

The Institute of Mathematics of the Czech Academy of Sciences (www.math.cas.cz) is seeking a researcher for the project “Compactness in set theory, with applications to algebra and graph theory”, coordinated by Dr. Christopher Lambie-Hanson and funded by the Czech Science Foundation. Applications are invited from candidates who have completed their PhD within the last 5 years (or will have completed it before the time of hiring) and who have a strong background in set theory. Preferred qualifications include some knowledge of at least one of the following topics: (1) large cardinals and set theoretic compactness, (2) applications of set theory to homological algebra, and (3) uncountable graphs. Starting date: 1.7.2024. Contract length: 12 months.
