University of Campinas (Unicamp) - Brazil | Campinas - Sao Paulo - Brazil

Classification: Geometry

The group of Lie Theory and Applications of IMECC/Unicamp welcomes applications for a one-year post-doctoral position in Geometry/Topology of Homogeneous Spaces, with a possibility of an extension for one more year. The research activities are funded by the FAPESP Thematic Project “Geometry of Control, Dynamical and Stochastic Systems” (Grant 2018/13481-0) and will be held at IMECC-UNICAMP in Campinas. The selected candidate will work in collaboration with Professors Luiz A. B. San Martin and Lino Grama on geometry/topology of homogeneous spaces and Lie groups with focus on invariant geometric structures, for instance (but not restrict to) riemannian, hermitian, symplectic, SKT, Sasaki structures, Weyl structures; geometric flows; group action on Riemannian geometry; algebraic and differential topology of Lie groups and homogeneous space. The candidates are expected to have an excellent curriculum vitae, with PhD obtained at most 7 years ago; experience in the focus of this project, demonstrated by recent publications related to the subject. This opportunity is open to candidates of any nationalities.
