The Institute for Numerical Simulation at University of Bonn is looking for a research assistant (Postdoc, 100%, TVL E13) in numerical analysis for a period of two years, starting as soon as possible. The position is within the group of Prof. Barbara Verfuerth. A particular focus of the position is the numerical homogenization for temporal metamaterials with a project of the collaborative research center "Wave phenomena". Further, the position also offers the possibility to further develop your own research profile. Applicants should have a doctoral degree in mathematics and a strong background in numerical methods for partial differential equations and numerical analysis as well as programming knowledge. Within the project, you will collaborate with physicists from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. The Institute or Numerical Simulation covers research and teaching of numerical analysis, simulation and scientific computing.
