We have the pleasure to announce the opening of a 24-month post-doc position at the Institut Fourier of Grenoble (France). The position is funded by the ANR project “GAPR: Geometry and Analysis in the Pseudo-Riemannian setting”, coordinated by Andrea Seppi. The selected candidate will be part of the Geometry and Topology group of the Institut Fourier (https://www-fourier.univ-grenoble-alpes.fr/?q=fr/content/geometrie-differentielle). Interactions and regular visits with the other team members, namely François Fillastre (Montpellier), Daniel Monclair (Orsay), Nicolas Tholozan (Paris) and Jérémy Toulisse (Nice), will be possible and encouraged. We are looking for candidates with research interests in geometric topology and differential geometry. More precisely, we expect candidates to have experience in at least some of the following topics: hyperbolic geometry, geometric structures on manifolds, Teichmüller theory, minimal surfaces, geometric analysis. Tentative starting date is September 2023, but this is very flexible (not earlier than June 2023, however). The position has no teaching load. Funding will be available in order to cover travels and invitations. Candidates should apply at the following link: https://emploi.univ-grenoble-alpes.fr/offres/doctorants/chercheur-e-dans-le-cadre-du-projet-anr-geometrie-et-analyse-dans-le-cadre-pseudo-riemannien-1175134.kjsp?RH=1135797159702996 The application will consist of: a CV including a list of publications, a motivation letter, and a research statement. Moreover, two recommendation letters should be sent by email to firstname.lastname@example.org. The deadline for application is January 31st. For any further information, please do not hesitate to write to email@example.com.
