PhD Position (m/f/x) in the field of Number Theory

PhD position for 4 years, 40 hours/week, starting October 1, 2025, at the Institute of Analysis and Number Theory (TU Graz) Responsibilities of the position: • Willingness to write a PhD thesis and to participate in the research of the institute • Exercise classes for the study program in mathematics and for service classes for engineering programs • Participation in the administrative duties of the institute, administration of exercise classes Admission Requirements: Master degree in mathematics or comparable Desired Qualification: • Participation in the teaching activities of the institute in service classes for engineers as well as for students of mathematics • Knowledge of algebraic number theory or analytic number theory • Language proficiency in German or English Salary: We offer an annual gross salary of at least € 50103,20 for a fulltime position. An overpayment based on qualification and experience is possible.
