There is an open PhD position in the project "The standard model as a geometric variational problem" funded by the Austrian Science Fund (FWF). The position is for three years and there are no teaching duties. The PhD project under the supervision of Volker Branding is concerned with analytic and geometric questions of the Yang-Mills equations on Riemannian manifolds which arise in the context of the standard model of elementary particle physics.
