Call for proposals The NOMIS Foundation and the Institute of Science and Technology Austria (ISTA) have launched an interdisciplinary basic research program for exceptional postdoctoral scientists. The NOMIS-ISTA Fellowship Program provides postdocs with the freedom to work on big unanswered questions and high risk research at the intersection of two or more scientific disciplines. ISTA offers an enabling and collaborative environment, with dedicated mentorship from world-class, established scientists, on the outskirts of Vienna. In 2018, ISTA was ranked within the top ten of Nature Index Rising Stars “Top 30 academic institutions under 30” list. Requirements: - At the time of recruitment (i.e. within 8 months of the application deadline), applicants must have been awarded their PhD and preferably have acquired their first postdoctoral experience and/or interdisciplinary training. However, the NOMIS Fellowship Selection Panel will also consider exceptionally promising candidates who fall outside the above criteria. - Following the initial evaluation round, top-ranked candidates must be available for a remote interview between August 19 and September 05, 2024. - If successful, the NOMIS Fellowship must commence within six months of notification.
