IRC Advanced Laureate Award PhD position

Applications are invited for a PhD position at University College Dublin funded by the IRC Advanced Laureate Award for the project "q-series, quantum knot invariants and modularity" of Prof. Robert Osburn. The position is for 4 years and includes a stipend of 22,000 euros per year, substantial travel funding and computer equipment. It involves tutorial duties for which additional payment will be received. The start date is September 1, 2024. It is preferable that candidates have a master’s degree in mathematics or equivalent at the start of the appointment with a background in number theory, modular forms, cluster algebras or knot theory.
