Call for interest The Department of Mathematics and its Applications) of the University of Milano-Bicocca plans to open one or two positions (depending on the number and quality of interested researchers) for tenured (or tenure-track) faculty appointments in the next future. Expressions of interest are encouraged from distinguished candidates at senior or junior levels in all areas of Mathematics. Candidates must have a Ph.D. and should show a strong commitment both to research and teaching. The activation of the position(s) will be preferably at the senior level (tenured Associate Professor), but letters from junior scientists will be taken under serious consideration if they show an outstanding record of research for their level of seniority and fulfill the requirements to apply for a (tenure-track) “type B TD researcher” (RTD-B) position. The candidate is expected to cover a teaching load of approx. 120 hours/year (senior positions) or 64 hours/years (junior position). The position(s) will start on 01/09/2022 at the earliest. The (gross) initial salary is approx. 51.000 euro/year (Associate Professor) and approx. 35.000 euro/year (RTD-B). Social security is included. According to Italian law, a substantial tax cut applies to candidates who worked for the last 2 years abroad.
