The mathematics department at UAntwerp is advertising a five-year postdoc position in algebraic geometry with mild teaching duties. The position is initially for three years and following a positive evaluation it can be renewed for another two years. The department is looking for a young researcher in algebraic geometry (broadly interpreted) that has shown independence and can contribute with research and teaching at the department. The teaching load is on average between 3 and 4 hours per week. The candidate must hold a Ph.D. by the start of the appointment. Working proficiency in English is necessary. Proficiency in Dutch is not required, but the department will support and encourage you to learn Dutch. The starting date is February 1st, 2024. The deadline to apply is September 28th, 2023.
