2.2.1. EC composition

The EMS Executive Committee (EC) is the executive body of the Society and is elected by the EMS Council. The EC consists of up to ten members:

  1. President
  2. two Vice-Presidents
  3. Treasurer
  4. Secretary
  5. n other committee members, 2≤n≤5

The members listed in 1–4 are called EMS Officers.

Liaison persons

Any EC member may also be a liaison person assigned to one of the standing committees. The role of the liaison is to attend the meetings of the assigned committee, to report to the EC on the committee activities and to bring to the EC attention any organizational or financial need arising within the committee. At the same time, the liaison shall also notify the committee of any decision of the EC relevant to the committee and any of specific task requested by the EC and shall supervise that all such decisions and tasks are carried out in a timely and effective manner. The liaison is added to the mailing list of the assigned committee. See also section 2.3 and section 2.3.1.
