2026 AMS–EMS Mikhail Gordin Prize awarded to Simion Filip and Vadim Gorin

Simion Filip and Vadim Gorin to receive the 2026 AMS–EMS Mikhail Gordin Prize that recognises outstanding contributions in probability or dynamical systems, with preference given to early-career mathematicians from or professionally connected to an Eastern European country.

EMS Council meeting 2026

The EMS Council meeting will be held in Lisbon, Portugal on June 27–28, 2026 at the Academia das Ciências de Lisboa. The main tasks of the Council will include discussing the activities of the EMS in the past two years, discussing and approving the budget for 2027-2028, and electing the new EMS President and Vice-President and other members of the Executive Committee.
