Classification: Analysis and its Applications

The Department of Mathematics and Mathematical Statistics is offering a postdoctoral scholarship within the project Operator theory, optimization and singularities. The scholarship is full-time for two years with access 1 January 2023 or by agreement. The project is titled Operator theory, optimization and singularities, and belongs to the fields of complex analysis, operator theory and functional analysis. More precisely concrete operators, analytic functions spaces, optimization problems (such as calculating the operator norm) and applications to mathematical physics and geometry are considered. The appointed candidate will get the opportunity to carry out collaborative research according to a mutually agreed research plan. They will also get the opportunity to present their research at international conferences and to actively participate in joint workshops and seminars. This postdoctoral scholarship is financed and administered by The Kempe Foundation (JCK22-0052). The stipend is tax free and will be 648 000 SEK for two years, meaning 324 000 SEK per year.
