DESCRIPTION:ULTRAMATH 2022: Registration and Call for papers\n\nUltrafilter
	s and Ultraproducts Across Mathematics\, and Related Topics\nJune 6 - June
	 11\, 2022\, Pisa\, Italy\n\nhttps://www.ultramath.it/\n\nDear all\,\n\nWe
are happy to announce that the registration and the call for papers for t
he upcoming event "ULTRAMATH 2022 - Ultrafilters and Ultraproducts Across
Mathematics\, and Related Topics"\, that will be held in Pisa (Italy) from
June 6th to June 11th\, 2022\, are now open.\n\nREGISTRATION: The deadlin
e for registrations is ***MONDAY\, MAY 9***. There is no registration fee\
, but completing the registration form is mandatory. \nDetails for the reg
istration and for grant applications can be found on the conference websit
e.\n\nSUBMISSION OF AN ABSTRACT: The deadline for the submission of an abs
tract is ***MONDAY\, MARCH 21***. Details on the procedure can be found on
the conference website.\n\nThe International Conference "ULTRAMATH 2022”
aims to present recent results in the whole spectrum of mathematics which
are grounded on the use of ultrafilters and ultraproducts. Its main goals:
\n\n• Disseminate information about the various techniques related to the
use of ultrafilters and ultraproducts\, and their potential to attack open
problems.\n• Bring together researchers with different backgrounds\, and
encourage their collaborations and interactions\, especially on topics con
necting different areas of mathematics.\n\nThe covered topics of UltraMath
2022 include (but are not limited to):\n\n• Additive and Combinatorial Nu
mber Theory.\n• Combinatorics and Ramsey Theory.\n• Algebra and Geometry.\
	n• General Topology.\n• Measure Theory.\n• Ergodic Theory and Dynamics.\n•
Functional Analysis and Metric Spaces.\n• Nonstandard Analysis and Model
Theory.\n• Generalized Spaces and Differential Equations.\n• Set Theory.\n
\nGreater prominence will be given to those results that satisfy (most of)
the following conditions:\n\n• The results can be formulated and presente
d in non-specialist terms\, and be in principle understandable by any prac
ticing mathematician.\n• The usage of ultrafilters/ultraproducts is import
ant (or even essential) in obtaining these results.\n• The results connect
different areas of mathematics.\n• The results reveal new facets of known
important topics.\n\nThis is the second edition of “UltraMath”\, after th
e one held in Pisa in 2008: http://people.dm.unipi.it/ultramath. After two
years of postponement\, we are strongly committed to holding this 2022 ed
ition with the physical presence of lecturers and participants. We will ma
ke every effort to ensure that this is done safely\; in the unfortunate ca
se of a new emergency due to the pandemic\, UltraMath 2022 will take place
anyway as a hybrid or as an online event\, depending on the situation.\n\
