DESCRIPTION:The 1st IMA Mathematics Anxiety International Conference will t
	ake place at the Centre for Mathematical Sciences\, the University of Camb
	ridge\, in the heart of the historical city. It aims to bring together res
	earchers\, academics\, teachers\, publishers\, policy makers and all inter
	ested in the conference theme from all over the world. We particularly wel
	come submissions from researchers (at any stage) in interdisciplinary fiel
	ds such as education\, psychological and behavioural science\, and sociolo
	gy and envisage a number of themes including:\n1. Mathematics anxiety repo
	rted by non-specialists i.e.\, students studying disciplines other than ma
	thematics\n2. Gender and other dimensions to mathematics anxiety\n3. Conce
	pts linked to mathematics anxiety such as negative emotions\, unfavourable
	 attitudes\, motivation\, communication\, self-efficacy\, mathematical sel
	f-concept\, resilience to failure\, and autonomy\n4. Precursors and impact
	s of mathematics anxiety\n5. Communicating and teaching quantitative cours
	es such as mathematics\, statistics\, research methods and operational res
	earch\n6. Pedagogical interventions to support mathematics anxiety suffere
	rs such as blended learning\, mindset interventions\, those designed to en
	hance self-efficacy\, student-led education\, and student-voice\n7. Interv
	entions such as brain stimulation\n8. Promoting equity\, inclusion and div
	ersity (EDI)\, in mathematics education\n
