SUMMARY:Exponential Motives
DTSTAMP:20260401T014400Z
DTSTART;VALUE=DATE:20241123
DTEND;VALUE=DATE:20241128
DESCRIPTION:Exponential motives are a powerful tool for the study of a host
of objects attached to an algebraic variety along with a regular function
\, ranging from exponential sums over finite fields in analytic number the
ory to Landau–Ginzburg models in mirror symmetry. The goal of this week lo
ng seminar is to introduce PhD students and post-doctoral researchers to t
he key ideas of the theory of exponential motives\, and to illustrate them
by some recent applications to the study of E-functions and Kloosterman s
ums. We will focus on significant examples to be worked out by the partici
pants during the afternoon sessions\, and present a collection of open que
stions of various levels of difficulty.\n\nDeadline for application: 1 Sep
	tember 2024
