DESCRIPTION:The workshop will be devoted to the study of surfaces with spec
	ial metrics with singularities of conical type. In particular it will focu
	s on the case of spherical metrics\, namely Riemannian metrics of curvatur
	e 1.\nThe aim of the meeting is to bring together people with different ba
	ckgrounds to discuss recent developments\, techniques and open questions i
	n the areas of  spherical surfaces with conical points\, projective struct
	ures with singularities and their monodromy\, solutions of the singular Li
	ouville equation\, polyhedral spherical surfaces\, polygonal linkages.
